Xenoblade Chronicle X launch Trailer X: Definitive Edition, which arrives at Switch with improvements and new content

Nintendo Switch beats in retired before the next Nintendo Switch 2 launch, but before saying goodbye he still has time to expand his catalog with Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, which is available today. This role of role originally developed for Wii U becomes remastered and expanded under the gaze of Monolith Soft.

The Xenoblade Chronicle X campaign transports us to 2054, after an intergalactic war between two alien races has destroyed the earth and taken to humanity to the edge of extinction. In search of a new home, a small group of survivors escapes aboard the Blanca Blalena ship, which ends up making an emergency landing on the planet Mira. This world hides multiple biomes and is inhabited by different ways of life. Some are gigantic. In an attempt to prosper humanity on this wild planet, our survivors group is established in Mira.

The base of operations is new Los Angeles, a city divided into several districts and built with the remains of the ship.

The Xenoblade Chronicle X combat system is that of an Action RPG. During the clashes, players have access to normal attacks and actions called arts. One of the keys to the combat system is to support the different characters that participate in the battle using an art that corresponds to their request. In case of meeting certain conditions, the turbo can be activated, which allows you to run multiple arts in a row. Combat and exploration can also be aboard Skells, a powerful machine. There are different types of skells that are customized to adjust them to a combat style.

In case of having a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online, Xenoblade Chronicles X allows to form groups of up to 32 players to participate in patrol orders. It is also possible to make online missions in a cooperative mode for four people.

Regarding the novelties, we have improved graphics, a new Skell called HRAESVELG and improvements in quality of life, in exploration, fighting and user interface. There is also additional content that expands the story and whose protagonist is, one of the main characters in the original campaign. Nintendo has not offered official information, but everything seems to indicate that after ten years some of the loose ends left by the original Xenoblade Chronicles X for Wii U.
