Panache Digital Games, the team led by the creative director of Assassin’s Creed, has shown a new 1666: Amsterdam trailer focused on the two protagonists: Noa and Aaron. In addition to introducing the main characters, the footage offers us a sample of gameplay. Whoever wants more always has the option to go to Steam and download the prologuewhich over the course of about 30 minutes of gameplay allows you to take a look at the gameplay as the world, characters, and mysteries are introduced.

The video, narrated by executive producer Jean-François Boivin, begins by introducing Noa Brooklyn, a young woman born in Amsterdam who works as an apprentice apothecary. Behind this facade hides the heir to ancient knowledge that is passed down from generation to generation through a lineage of women. They are the Zaindaris. Their mission is to find and eliminate the Originals, beings corrupted by Nux’s magic who hide with human faces among the inhabitants of Amsterdam in 1666.

Victoria Diamond voices Noa and Xiao Yi Hernan voices Aaron.

To fulfill their mission of eliminating the Originals, the Zaindaris have artifacts such as the Heeparan, which is linked to its bearer and allows the magic of Nux to be absorbed and used, and the Nuxefer, a manuscript where the generations that have preceded Noa have left the testimony of their journey. Players will be free to use the witchcraft and spells that the young woman has access to to overcome the challenges that await her in her crusade against the Originals, an ancient force that threatens the balance of the world.

On the other hand we have Aaron, a university professor with a normal and ordinary life who travels to Amsterdam with his partner to celebrate the year 2000. Without really knowing how, Aaron finds himself trapped in a ritual that sends him more than 300 years into the past until he reaches the city of Amsterdam in 1666. During this time travel Aaron loses his human form and transforms into a cat. As a feline, you have many possibilities when it comes to infiltrating any place to see and hear what others cannot. The skills of Aaron the cat will join those of Noa the Zaindaris to face the Originals.

1666: Amsterdam will be available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. It is also in development for consoles.
