Vantage Studios is the new home of Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and Rainbow Six, and is working on multiple projects related to these three franchises. Guillemot has confirmed that there are currently two Far Cry games in development, while Assassin's Creed has several titles in the pipeline, including single-player and multiplayer experiences. Regarding Assassin's Creed, the executive adds that the objective is to continue expanding a community that last year exceeded 30 million players. Regarding Far Cry he has not said anything else.
In 2023, rumors claimed that Ubisoft was working on two Far Cry games codenamed Blackbird and Maverick. Blackbird would be the new main installment of the saga, while Maverick would be in the form of a multiplayer experience set in Alaska. There is talk of a shooter of extraction, but because the project has changed direction several times it is difficult to assign it a genre. The development of both games would be led by Ubisoft Montreal, the team that has historically been in charge of these two sagas.
Regarding Assassin's Creed, in May of last year rumors spoke of a roadmap with nine games. Two would have been canceled during Ubisoft's recent restructuring, so we are left with seven games. Three of them would be Invictus, a multiplayer experience, Obsidian, the remake from Assassin's Creed Black Flag, and Hexe, the new main installment set in the Holy Roman Empire. Hexe is an official codename.
The physical edition will be available on June 26.
Regarding Rainbow Six, Guillemot assures that it has recently reached 2.5 million daily players. The forecast is that the figure will rise thanks to the Chinese league and the launch of Rainbow Six Mobile, which will arrive on February 23.
A few days ago Ubisoft released Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition. Guillemot says it's not only a tribute to the original 1995 game, but also «it's the first step» to the franchise's return. In October 2024 Ubisoft said it was working on bringing Rayman back, but since then all it has done is remember him. In this sense, rumors speak of a remake codenamed Steambot that would be led by Ubisoft Milan (Mario + Rabbids). The project would have the support of Michel Ancel, creator of Rayman.
Finally we have series and movies. From this section, Guillemot highlights that Netflix has given the green light to a live-action Assassin's Creed series and the second season of the animated series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. In addition, he reveals that the Watch Dogs film is moving forward, while FX has commissioned a Far Cry series led by Noah Hawley and Rob Mac. No trace, at least in the interview, of the Netflix movie The Division.
