He remake Silent Hill 2, a title that remains exclusive to PS5 on console, arrives in the PS Plus catalog just over a year after its launch. The script of the title is the same as that of the original version released in 2001, but graphically it has been updated with Unreal Engine 5, while the gameplay has been adapted to current times. This translates into a game with an over-the-shoulder camera and a more visceral experience, two developments that have led to a reconstruction of the combat system.
Silent Hill 2 came back to life thanks to Bloober Team, which is currently working on giving the same treatment to the first Silent Hill.
Until Dawn is also a remake developed from scratch using Unreal Engine 5. The graphical update is accompanied by updated scenarios, a third-person camera, new contextual movement animations for the characters and a revamp of the sound. The narrative is maintained, but with a reworked prologue by Ballistic Moon that gives players more time to explore the ties of the Washington family. The release of Until Dawn in 2024 was followed by the film of the same name in 2025.
Anyone who prefers a role-playing, action and survival game can take a look at V Rising, a game starring a vampire weakened by centuries of deep sleep. In addition to searching for blood and sheltering from the sun, our protagonist must rebuild a castle and turn human victims into servants to build a vampire empire. Finally, we highlight Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which is also a role-playing game but very different. In this case we travel to modern-day Japan to accompany Ichiban Kasuga, a yakuza from a low-ranking family, who faces an 18-year prison sentence for taking the blame for a crime he did not commit.
