Week full of news thanks to the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 and Nintendo Direct. From the first event we get the release date of Halo Campaign Evolved (July 28), Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy (August 27) or Fable (February 23, 2027). We also mark on the calendar the arrival of Gears of War: E-Day (October 6), which together with Clockwork Revolution (2027) were presented as exclusive Xbox games on console. At the same event, new installments of Senua and Spyro were announced, the return of Crazy Taxi was confirmed and we saw new proposals such as Magicians: The Devil’s Deal.
The Nintendo Direct confirmed the existence of the remake from Zelda. Ocarina of Time and when no one expected it, a new installment of Xenoblade appeared that will arrive in 2027. The appearance of a gameplay of Kingdom Hearts IV, which along with other titles third-party such as Stellar Blade, Onimusha, Dragon’s Dogma II and Metaphor: ReFantazio have added a version for Switch 2. On the other hand, we set a release date for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave (September 17) and Orbitals (September 3).
Beyond the big events we have Asha Sharma’s memo about the Xbox reboot, a text that possibly hides layoffs in the division, and the announcement of titles like Thief: The Dark Project Remastered, Stronghold 4 or the psychological horror thriller Star Trek: Shadow Frontier. On the other hand, in technology we have talked about the new generation of Siri, a more capable and conversational assistant, and the imposition of precautionary measures on Meta so that WhatsApp allows the integration of third-party AI assistants.
