Interplanetary exploration «is the essence» of Free Lanes. With this update, players will have new experiences in flight, including a Cruise mode that reaches high speeds. The Terran Armada expansion adds a new questline throughout which players will face off against the Terrans, a militarily advanced force with their own conception of the Colonized Systems. This is a faction that abandoned the Colonized Systems during the Colonial War, leaving behind the conflicts they had with both the United Colonies and the Freestar Collective. They consider themselves the true children of the Earth. Players confront them, discover their motivation and stop them.
Terran Armada also adds a new companion. This is Delta, a Terran robot who «isn't evil, but he's certainly not good either.» The news continues with new options for the arsenal, which thanks to the Terrans now has more realistic weapons, and modules for the ship. Additionally, we have a raid system that introduces repeatable content.
