Shiro Games (Wartales, Dune: Spice Wars) has celebrated with a launch trailer that SpaceCraft, a multiplayer sandbox in space that mixes interstellar exploration with industrial automation, is now available in Steam early access for 29.99 euros. The idea is that the game will evolve and receive content over about six months before receiving the 1.0 update.

SpaceCraft proposes players to build an interplanetary corporation from scratch and with their actions evolve the galaxy together with the rest of the community. It all begins in Solar Alpha, a resource-rich system where heavy machinery must be deployed to mine, refine, and transport cargo across the cosmos. Raw materials serve to give life to a manufacturing system with progression through which you can manufacture advanced ship components, expand industrial plans or trade resources through an economy that is in the hands of the players.

Expansion through the systems involves erecting constructions of all types, including small industrial outposts, automated mining facilities and logistics networks. Operations are escalating thanks to autonomous drones, massive cranes and specialized ships. Exploration of the universe is free, and in this sense Shiro Games promises systems full of planets, asteroid fields, abandoned space stations and ruined ships. To cover long distances, the game has faster-than-light technology that allows you to easily jump between systems.

Although it is possible to go solo in SpaceCraft, those interested should keep in mind that this is a multiplayer-focused game, where explorers are encouraged to create or join corporations and collaborate on a large-scale mission. Corporations allow you to coordinate large-scale operations, assign specialized roles, and compete for influence across the galaxy.

«SpaceCraft is by far the most ambitious game we have ever created,» says Nicolas Cannasse, CEO of Shiro Games. «Our goal was to build a universe that felt accessible yet infinite, where players can explore, industrialize, collaborate, and shape their own stories across the stars. We’re excited to see the first people building the future of humanity.»
