«This change is a necessary step to adapt PUBG with the new generation consoles,» says Pubg Corporation. «Many console players have experienced unexpected closures due to hardware memory limitations, and we hope that this transition significantly reduce such problems. To offer a more stable play environment in consoles and guarantee a more fluid and consistent experience with future updates, we have decided to make the leap to new generation consoles. As part of this transition, we will stop giving support in PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.»

PUBG will stop offering support for PS4 and Xbox One after the maintenance of the live server scheduled for November 13. From that moment on the game free-to-play It will not be available for download nor can it be played on these platforms. Both account data and acquired items will be kept, and will remain there in case of logging into an PS5 or Xbox Series. There is no need to make any transfer. In the case of PlayStation users it will be necessary to download the PS5 version of PUBG, while in Xbox the Smart Delivery system saves this step.
When pubg is only available on PS5 and Xbox Series, the compatible specifications will be the following:
- Xbox Series X: 2160p a 60 FPS
- Xbox Series S: 1080p a 60 FPS o 1440p a 30 FPS
- PlayStation 5: 1440p a 60 FPS
- PlayStation 5 Pro: 2160p a 60 FPS
Because PUBG admits the cross -game between platforms, the priority of the development team has been «maintaining equity between all systems» and «offering a stable experience at 60 fps on all platforms.» With this transition to the current generation, a more stable play environment is sought and prepare the land «for future major updates».
