CD Projakt Red comments on the status of the Sagas Witcher and Cyberpunk projects, and announces an alliance with Scopely

CD Projakt Red has published the financial results of the fourth and last quarter of fiscal year 2024, and took the opportunity to comment on the progress of the Sagas The Witcher and Cyberpunk Games. For now, comment that The Witcher 4 will not be available in 2026. In the same report the Polish company has announced a strategic alliance with Scopely, a mobile game company that will work with one of its intellectual properties.

To begin with, CD Projakt Red ensures that The Witcher 4 development continues to advance at a good pace and right now has 411 developers available, which are more than half of the company's workforce. However, for the launch of the game it will have to wait for at least 2027. The rest of the saga projects do not progress so well. He spin-off Project Sirius developed by The Molasses Flood continues in a preproduction phase, while the remake The first The Witcher in the hands of The Fool's Theory has not yet abandoned the concept phase, although it was announced in October 2022.

In the case of Cyberpunk things are simpler because there is only Project Orion, a key name of the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel. The title remains in the concept phase, but the forecast is that in the coming weeks it enters preproduction. Regarding sales, as of November 2024 Cyberpunk 2077 added 30 million dispatched copies and the Phantom Liberty expansion was for 8 million. Beyond video games, the company works with Netflix in a new Cyberpunk animation series. Who has not seen Cyberpunk: Edgerunners of Studio Trigger should give him a chance.

On the other hand, CD Projekt Red continues to advance in the development of Project Hadar, a new intellectual property in the concept phase that still has a long way ahead. In addition, the Polish company is working on several not announced projects, including one developed by The Fool's Theory.

As for the association with Scopely, the Saudi company responsible for Monopoly Go that recently bought Niantic and Pokémon Go, there are no details. All we know is that Scopely works with a property of CD Projakt Red whose name has not transcended. The reasonable thing is to think that it is The Witcher or Cyberpunk, but there is nothing official.
