Assetto Corsa, a racing simulator saga, enters a new category of motorsports with the announcement of Assetto Corsa Rally, a simulator that will be available on November 13 for PC through Steam early access in exchange for 29.99 euros. The development is led by Supernova Games Studios in association with Kunos Simulazioni, the company responsible for the saga. Both are property of Digital Bros.

Assetto Corsa Rally «is an authentic rally simulator that captures all the intensity and precision of the sport,» says publisher 505 Games. The title is being developed with an adaptation of Unreal Engine 5 and has the Assetto Corsa physics engine, but adapted to the new discipline. Kunos Simulazioni's technological collaboration will make it easier for Supernova Games Studios to use tools such as 3D laser scanning to translate the sections into the game. Additionally, players will have professional co-driver support and realistic dynamics for front-, rear- and all-wheel drive cars.

At the beginning of its early access, Assetto Corsa Rally will offer 4 stages totaling 33 km. When the game is complete it will feature more than 120 km of stages and 10 special stages with more than 35 variants spread across 5 international rallies. Regarding vehicles, initially players will have a selection of 10 licensed, scanned cars with a damage system. The complete list will be made up of more than 30 cars from the past and present that can be competed in 5 modes.

The vehicles available from the first day of early access are:

  • Alfa Romeo GTA 1300 Junior Gr.2 (1972)
  • The WRC Certificate (2001)
  • Fiat 131 Abarth Gr.4 (1976)
  • FIAT 124 Sport Abarth Rally 16V Gr.4 (1973)
  • Hyundai i20N Rally2 (2021)
  • Lancia Delta HF integral EVO Gr.A (1992)
  • Lancia Stratos Gr.4 (1976)
  • Lancia Rally 037 EVO 2 Gr.B (1984)
  • Mini Cooper S Gr.2 (1964)
  • Peugeot 208 Rally4 (2020)

Assetto Corsa Rally does not yet have a date for version 1.0, but the goal is for it to be available «in less than 18 months» from the launch of the early access version. During this time we will work on perfecting the gameplay, optimizing performance and expanding the content (sections, vehicles, modes…). Also on the roadmap is adding VR support and a specialized rally driving academy. The price of the game will be higher after early access and may increase during this stage.
