As part of the presentation of its latest financial results, Ubisoft reports that Assassin's Creed Shadows has met expectations by obtaining the 5 million players, which are compared to the 2 million reached at the end of March. In the same document the French editor has also announced a new step in its transformation, which consists of reorganizing the company around business units called Creative Houses. The first is the subsidiary participated by Tencent that will be a reality at the end of the year.

Yves Guillemot, co -founder and executive director of Ubisoft, has recognized that the company's economic results for the first quarter of the fiscal year are neither good nor bad. The positive part was Assassin's Creed Shadows with its 5 million players and the launch of Rainbow Six Siege X, which «significantly» increased community participation. However, players spending in Rainbow Six Siege suffered a decrease. In addition, the game was affected by technical problems that have already been solved. For Ubisoft it is a «punctual setback» in a title with a «strong growth potential.»

Returning to Assassin's Creed Shadows, Guillemot comments that the expansion of Awaji's claws will be available during the second quarter of the current fiscal year that ends on September 30. This complement included with the game reservation transfers the action to Awaji island to offer about 10 hours of content. In addition, the expansion introduces a new faction, the Bō as a new weapon for Noe, as well as new skills, equipment and skills. Guillemot also emphasizes that since its launch the title has received several updates to improve playability.

With new content available and a more polished experience, Ubisoft expects Assassin's Creed Shadows to have a good Christmas campaign.

Regarding the Creative Houses in which Ubisoft will be reorganized, we still don't know how many there are. The only one we know today is the one participated by Tencent that will be in charge of managing the Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and Rainbow Six franchises. A few days ago the French editor reported that this business unit will be directed by Charlie Guillemot and Christophe Dennes, the son and the cousin, respectively, by Yves Guillemot. Charlie has little experience in the sector, while Christophe has been in the industry for more than 35 years, during which he has led Ubisoft Montreal and the American division of the editor.
