One of the news of the year came on Friday night, when Microsoft announced that Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, was retiring. Sarah Bond, president of Xbox, also left with him. Spencer's replacement is Asha Sharma, currently president of CoreAI products at Microsoft, while Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios, is promoted to executive vice president and chief content officer. This week we also said goodbye to Bluepoint Games, the team responsible for the remake of Demon's Souls, and Hideki Sato, designer of all Sega consoles, from SG-1000 to Dreamcast.

In the news section we have .hack//ZERO, a delivery that restarts the saga, and Layers of Fear 3, while Avowed is now available on PS5 and Xenoblade Chronicles X has arrived on Switch 2 with a paid update. You also have to check out to play Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen on Switch. Neither more nor less than 19.99 euros for each title. In addition, we have commented on the 10 million copies that the Nioh and NieR: Automata saga have sold. This second title seems to have a sequel.

In technology we have the announcement of the Google Pixel 10a, a mobile phone whose technical data sheet can be confused with that of the Pixel 9a, and Valve's notice about the possibility of the Steam Deck OLED being temporarily sold out due to a shortage of RAM. Finally, LaLiga and Telefónica have announced with great fanfare that Nord VPN and ProtonVPN must block IPs that broadcast pirated football in the same way that operators do.
