This week Sony and Nintendo presented financial results, and that has allowed us to know that PS5 has 65.6 million units sold and Nintendo Switch 146 million. From now on, the PS5 figures will include the PS5 Pro units, which this week arrived in stores, while Nintendo already has its eye on the next generation and advances that its new console will be compatible with games from Switch. Regarding software, we have welcomed Metro Awakening, Death Stranding (Xbox Series), Mario & Luigi: Brotherly Connection, Planet Coaster 2 and Metal Slug Tactics.

For Steam users, the novelty is the game recording function, an integrated system that in addition to recording allows you to edit and share clips. Star Wars Outlaws players have been promised improvements, while Halo: The Master Chief Collection players already have the Halo 2 demo shown at E3 2003 available through the Steam Workshop. On the other hand, Warner Bros. Games has confirmed the sequel to Hogwarts Legacy, Nvidia has announced that starting in 2025 it will limit GeForce Now gaming time to 100 hours per month and Sega has sold Amplitude, which is now it's a study indie.

In technology we have talked about the European Commission's investigation of Corning, the manufacturer of Gorilla Glass, for anti-competitive practices. Finally, we have news about Mass Effect, but they are in the Internet section and that means that the series based on the BioWare saga continues with Amazon as responsible.

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Metal Slug Tactics, Goat Simulator Remastered among the upcoming Game Pass releases.
  • The Halo 2 E3 2003 demo will be available in Halo: The Master Chief Collection via the Steam Workshop.

PlayStation

  • Sony lists the more than 50 games with improvements for PS5 Pro since the day of its launch.
  • PS5 Pro arrives accompanied by an improved GPU, advanced ray tracing and PSSR in exchange for 799 euros.
  • Warhammer 40,000: Darktide announces a version for PS5 that will go on sale on December 3.
  • PS5 exceeds 65 million units and its year-on-year sales are down, but third-parties drive the business.
