Miary Zo is a Madagascar-born wrestler who is affectionately known in her village as the Fighting Goddess Reborn, a reference to the Legendary Silver Fighting Goddess of the island's folklore. This young woman presents a «fresh and cheerful» combat style inspired by Moraingy, a traditional martial art of the Malagasy people of Sakalava, infused with movements inspired by animals. Moraingy techniques are combined with other African martial arts to create a set of movements that have transformed Miary Zo into a martial artist who has attracted the attention of the entire continent.

The backstory that Bandai Namco has given to Miary Zo explains that this young woman found joy in communicating through these battles, until one day blue marks appeared on her body and she fell unconscious. Several months later he woke up and his grandmother told him that he was the vessel of the Silver Goddess of Fighting and that the time had come to go out into the world. At that moment two ring-tailed lemurs appeared, animals considered messengers of the Silver Goddess of Fighting. Miary Zo baptized them Vanilla and Cacao and set out on a journey in search of new contenders.
To bring Miary Zo to life, the Tekken 8 development team, led by franchise manager Katsuhiro Harada, traveled to Madagascar and spent a few days on the island visiting cities, villages and ruins to learn about the country's cultural heritage. They have also collaborated with the local community to make Miary Zo a good representative of the island and its culture.
Tekken 8 is a title that last February had more than 3 million copies sold and today it is unknown if it will have a third season. During season 2 the fighting game has added Anna Williams, Fahkumram, Armor King and Miary Zo.
