The last time Capcom updated the sales of Street Fighter 6 was in September 2024 when there were 4 million units. If mathematics does not lie, this means that in less than a year the fighting game has managed to sell one million units. It is unknown how many belong to each platform, but the final push has possibly given Switch 2. Street Fighter 6 was part of the initial catalog of the new console with an edition that includes all the characters and scenarios of the years 1 and 2. This same edition is also available in PlayStation, Xbox and PC through Steam.
Street Fighter 6 is the third installment of the best -selling franchise behind Street Fighter V with 7.8 million units and Street Fighter II with 6.30 million units. The Street Fighter saga was born in the Arcades in 1987 and since then accumulates more than 56 million dispatched units. Ahead has Resident Evil and Monster Hunter, who between all his deliveries add 120 and 170 million units, respectively.
After two seasons of content, Street Fighter 6 already has on its way a third pass. Last week Capcom presented a new season to incorporate Sagat (summer of 2025), C. Viper (autumn of 2025), Alex (winter of 2025) and Ingrid (spring of 2026). The future of the franchise also goes through theaters with a film produced by Legendary Entertainment and that according to Deadline would have Kitao Sakurai (Bad Trip) as director. In the cast, the rumors say that there are negotiations with Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo, Roman Reigns and Orville Peck. The latter is a country musician.
In addition to Switch 2, Street Fighter 6 is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series and PC since June 2023.
