Shenmue III Enhanced is the same game as Yu Suzuki and his team YS Net gave us in 2020, but applying graphic and performance improvements as well as improvements in quality of life and settings in the gameplay to adapt the systems to the times. At the visual level, the promise is that of more clear textures, more details, faster load times and a more fluid gameplay (without indicating the frames per second). The textures of the environments and the characters will rise to 4K resolution to increase the details.
Players who acquire or update Shenmue III Enhanced can also expect cities and villages with a higher NPCs density, which should make them feel more alive, and the option of playing with a new camera that offers a perspective inspired by Shenmue and Shenmue II. In addition, optional adjustments are applied in the endurance system, health restoration before fighting and the economic system for a more fluid progression. On the other hand, the user interface and the menus have been reviewed, added the option of omitting scenes and conversations and in PC there is compatibility with DLSS and FSR.
All changes in the gameplay that Shenmue III Enhanced presents are optional and players will always have the alternative to disable them to enjoy the original experience.
Who expects a trailer or capture to see how Ryo Hazuki and his world have been or knowing the launch date must have some patience. On the other hand, it remains to be seen how the update route will be like PS4 and PC players who have Shenmue III. The editor Inin Games does not mention at any time the words «free update» and is limited to saying that the details will be known later.
