Ratatan is a game after which we found several of the developers who once gave life to Patapon (2007), a rhythm game developed between Pyramid and Japan Studio for PSP. Among the outstanding names we have Hiroyuki Kotani and Kemmei Adachi, who have exercised the role of director and composer, respectively, in both titles. This project went ahead thanks to a Kickstarter that managed to raise 1.2 million euros of more than 14,500 sponsors. All who contributed 6,800 yen (39 euros) should already have a game key (regardless of whether they chose the PC or console as a platform).
Both for his proposal and the names behind, Ratatan is called to be a spiritual successor of Patapon.
The history of Ratatan transports us to Rataport, an island where strange creatures live happily despite their different appearances and personalities. They all have something in common: go to him beyond and meet the goddess. Now they have launched to achieve this goal regardless of the challenges that are on the way or the number of times they fail. The players will be responsible for these creatures reaching their dream, and to achieve it they must use rhythmic sequences in real time to order all their movements. The title can be played alone or in online cooperative mode for up to four players.
From the first day Ratatan includes all playability systems, several worlds, multiple characters, an arsenal of weapons and skills, progression systems and fighting against bosses. In short, the title is totally playable and during the time the early access will be added more worlds, characters, weapons, skills and content endgame among other elements. Resources will also be dedicated to improving stability and quality in general to offer a more polished game experience. Then you have a road map with the novelties until the spring of 2026.
