Possessor (s) is a side displacement game with fighting inspired by fighting titles and platforms, a mixture that has been baptized by Heart Machine with the name of Search Action. The protagonist of the campaign is Luca, a high school student trapped in the ruins of Sanzu, an expanded metropolis invaded by horrors of another world after an interdimensional catastrophe. With the shattered body, Luca reaches an agreement with RHEM, a newly released demon who needs a guest. Now Luca must survive and take advantage of RHEM's skills, which is not cooperative.
Luca has two attacks: Weapons, which can use at any time to end enemies, and special weapons that spend loads. The hero can gain additional loads as long as he has success with his normal attacks. At the beginning of the Luca adventure, it only has a couple of kitchen knives that you can use as a weapon, but little by little you will discover that Sanzu offers other opportunities, although all of them will continue to be makeshift weapons, including a guitar, a hockey stick and a computer mouse. Each weapon has its own characteristics and combat style.
Players will have the option to combine three special weapons and assign them to different buttons, allowing custom combos. Among Luca's special attacks there are several options and one of them uses a katana, which is the only real weapon in the game. To find weapons, players must explore all corners of Sanzu. It is a city destroyed and invaded by vegetation, which is presented with 3D environments to give the game a backdrop.
In addition to fighting with precise action and exploration with elements of Metroidvania, possessor (s) also promises a complex narrative where the ultimate goal is to discover the truth that is hidden behind the catastrophe.
