Publisher Annapurna Interactive and development team Iridium Studios have announced that People of Note, a game that can be described as a mix between Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and The K-pop Warriors, will go on sale on April 7 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC through Steam and Epic Games Store for 24.99 euros. Anyone who is not satisfied with the release date or the new trailer and wants to try the title can now do so with a demo that is available on Steam.

People of Note is a turn-based role-playing game that mixes musical performances with combat. Its protagonist is Cadence, a pop singer who, after being disqualified from a contest, decides to stop performing alone and form a group to fulfill her dream of being a diva. On her path to stardom, Cadence will assemble a music band and, together with her new allies, will confront the Harmonic Convergence, an entity that is creating chaos in the musical energies of the universe and a force that is trying to unbalance the natural harmonies of the world of Nota.

«In People of Note, you'll discover a completely different way to experience turn-based combat, as each battle is a musical performance with dynamic combat conditions, timed attacks, and multi-genre combos,» says the development team. In the world of Nota each musical genre has its own setting and culture, while dungeons offer both combat and puzzles integrated into the environment.

Regarding the People of Note demo, Iridium Studios is making it available to PC players on the occasion of the Steam Next Fest that takes place from February 23 to March 2, but it does not clarify whether it will disappear once the event concludes or will remain active. The demo offers about 90 minutes of gameplay and sets its action in Durandis, the rock and roll city, after Cadence leaves Chordia and starts looking for other musicians to form her band.
