Ubisoft and the German development team Screen Juice have announced that Morbid Metal will be available starting April 8 through Steam Early Access in exchange for 13.49 euros. This price is introductory and will later rise to 17.99 euros. In addition to the date we have a new trailer with gameplay where we can see this in motion roguelike of action hack and slash. Anyone who doesn't want to wait will find a demo on Steam.

When Morbid Metal hits Steam Early Access it will offer access to three playable characters, each with their own play style, ten different enemies, the first bosses and three unique biomes with modifiers, interactive elements and optional encounters for each run be different. Players will also have at their disposal progression systems that allow them to adjust and adapt the playing style of the characters, unlock or upgrade effects and synergies and a skill tree with permanent improvements.

Morbid Metal's roadmap will be revealed on April 17. Screen Juice says it has a plan that goes far beyond the launch, but wants to value the feedback initial to adapt your priorities. «We know where we're going, but it's not just about adding content, it's about shaping Morbid Metal together, tweaking features, improving balance and progression, and polishing systems based on your feedback,» says the development team. The roadmap should cover the first year, «but the planning is flexible.»

«Morbid Metal is already a challenging action experience roguelike «which combines fast-paced, acrobatic combat with the unique ability to transform into multiple characters,» Screen Juice says of the status of the Early Access version. «The game is designed to be both challenging and rewarding, with replayability at its core.»

As you can see in the trailer or check out the demo, Morbid Metal is a game set in the remains of a dystopian future. We find ourselves facing a roguelike frenetic action that allows players to transform into another character in combat to combine skills. Character switching means adaptability and is compared to weapon switching in an FPS. As levels are surpassed, characters increase their strength level and unlock upgrades, but if they die, everything is lost (except for permanent upgrades).
