In his message to the community, Marek Tyminski assures that as the development of Lords of the Fallen 2 progresses they work closely with the Gameplay Feedback Team, a group made up of experienced veterans in soulslike what they offer feedback. These opinions, along with the team’s vision, have identified «significant opportunities to refine the overall experience», so CI Games has decided to dedicate more time to the development of Lords of the Fallen II to take advantage of them. Tyminski says these improvements will allow the team to deliver players the best possible game from day one.
We all know that delaying a game to 2027 avoids having to compete in a calendar full of great titles and in which we have the almighty Grand Theft Auto VI (which will begin the reservation campaign on June 25 and will be available on November 19). Tyminski also acknowledges that this new window positions the release of Lords of the Fallen II outside of a «highly competitive» period, which will ensure the game receives «the attention it deserves.» March 2027 is clear, but in January we already have Stranger Than Heaven and in February Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, Persona 4 Revival and Fable await us.
Trailer released on June 6.
Lords of the Fallen II is not the first game to change its release date. Recently Valor Mortis delayed its release from September 24 to October 13 in search of a more favorable schedule. We’ll see if there are more changes. For now between September and October we have titles like The Blood of Dawnwalker (September 3), Marvel: Wolverine (September 15), Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave (September 17), Control Resonant (September 24), Onimusha: Way of the Sword (September 25), Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve (October 2), Gears of War: E-Day (October 6), Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (October 24) or Phantom Blade Zero (October 29).
Lords of the Fallen II will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC through Steam and Epic Games Store.
