If PlayStation Studios' Horizon franchise and Pocketpair's Palworld were to spawn a child, it would be called Light of Motiram, a game that mixes the world and machines of the former with the survival, building, and creature-collecting mechanics of the latter. Behind this project for PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) we find Polaris Quest, a studio owned by Tencent. For now the title does not have a release date, but it does have a trailer and details about its world, mechanics, combat system and playable proposal.

Light of Motiram sets its action in a world where human civilization has disappeared and its place has been taken by mecanimals, gigantic mechanical beasts that roam this planet while humanity rebuilds itself from a new primitive era. It is enough to read this brief description and watch the trailer of the game to realize that Light of Motiram is inspired (quite directly) by Horizon, whose first installment proposes the same post-apocalyptic scenario where humans return to live in tribes after Advanced machines with organic shapes have conquered the world.

In the open world of Light of Motiram where mecanimals are the dominant species, players must survive while exploring all types of environments and climates, from deserts to frozen tundras to lush forests. Survival in nature will depend on each person's skills. One of the most important elements is the base, and in this sense the title announced by Tencent proposes a free construction system based on realistic physical simulation. The limit is each person's creativity and the real physics that will determine the appearance and resistance of the base.

The combat system doesn't seem to keep any big secrets. You have to avoid enemy attacks by dodging or blocking and find the best moment to counterattack. On the other hand we have customizable mechanics. There are over 100 mechanical creatures ready to tame and train, and each of them has unique abilities as well as the ability to evolve. Mecanimals can support the player in combat and are also useful in increasing production. Palworld has the same mechanics.

Light of Motiram features a cooperative mode for up to 10 players.
