The collaboration between Lego and Pokémon begins with the launch of three sets. The most recognizable of the franchise is the one starring Pikachu, whose set of 2,050 pieces is priced at 199.99 euros and includes a Poké Ball from which electric energy emanates. The set hides some details such as the number 25 on the base, which refers to Pikachu's number in the Pokédex, and offers the option of placing the electric-type Pokémon in a battle position while coming out of the Poké Ball or sitting with the Poké Ball closed. The dimensions of the set are: 35 cm high, 26 cm wide and 39 cm long.
In second place we have the set that brings together Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, three very popular Pokémon from the first generation. It is one of the largest display sets ever created by Lego thanks to its 6,838 pieces. This is also noticeable in the price: 649.99 euros. Each of the three Pokémon has its own articulation and the user has the option of displaying them separately or together on the base. Regarding the base, it includes design elements inspired by the biomes of each Pokémon. The dimensions of the set are: 50 cm high, 54 cm wide and 36 cm long.
Finally we have the Eevee set, which has a price of 59.99 euros. This set made up of 587 pieces allows you to place the Pokémon in different poses and thanks to the Lego Builder App you can build it with friends. The dimensions of the set are: 19 cm high, 15 cm wide and 21 cm long.
“As a lifelong Pokémon fan, it has been an incredible honor to help bring these Pokémon to life in Lego brick form for the first time,” says Siddharth Muthyala, design director of Lego Pokémon. «Pokémon has inspired generations of fans around the world, so our team approached the design of these sets with immense care and passion, ensuring that every detail and pose truly celebrated what makes these characters so beloved. I hope fans love building them as much as we loved designing them.»
The Lego sets join a catalog where we already find constructions based on other sagas, including Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda. It seems that the collaboration between Lego and Pokémon is going for a long time, but for now it is unknown when the next sets will be available.
