Dotemu and Tribute Games (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge) are back at it with a beat ‘em up. On this occasion, editor and developer have come together to give life to Marvel Cosmic Invasion, which is on sale today on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch, Switch 2 and PC through Steam in exchange for 29.99 euros. The title is also available on Game Pass, while the physical edition for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch and Switch 2 will arrive on March 13, 2026.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion es un beat ‘em up arcade-style side-scroller with graphics-style pixel art. Its story has as its antagonist the immortal supervillain Annihilus, who after launching an unprecedented attack throughout the galaxy has put life as we know it between a rock and a hard place. To stop the Wave of Annihilation, superheroes from Earth and space must join forces and participate in an adventure that will take them to fight through the streets of New York until they reach the depths of the Negative Zone.

In addition to Annihilus, the campaign features other villains such as Thanos, MODOK, and Taskmaster.

The soundtrack is provided by composer Tiago «Tee» Lopes.

The Marvel Cosmic Invasion roster is made up of 15 playable heroes. Players must choose and control a team of two characters while swapping mid-combat when necessary using Cosmic Swap, a system that allows you to take advantage of different superpowers and special attacks to create unique alliances and cause a large amount of damage. The game invites experimentation as different duos unlock power-ups and rewards. In addition, the title has accessibility features and a local and online cooperative mode for four players with crossplay.

The superheroes available in Marvel Cosmic Invasion are the following: Captain America, She-Hulk, Rocket, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Storm, Phyla-Vell, Venom, Nova, Black Panther, Beta Ray Bill, Cosmic Ghost Rider, Silver Wake, Phoenix and Iron Man. «Each character's abilities encourage creative teams and a more tactical approach to the action,» says Dotemu. Once you've beaten the campaign, «suitable for players of all ages and skill levels,» you can up the ante with Arcade mode, which offers a greater challenge thanks to unlockable modifiers.
