The Hulk is a character whose overwhelming power and instability caused SHIELD and his companions such as Captain America and Iron Man to exile him to the Savage Land, a place where the green giant lives a quiet life surrounded by nature and animals. However, he still distrusts the Avengers. Hulk is presented in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls adorned with dinosaur bone armor that seeks to convey his wild and indomitable fighting style as well as highlight his brute strength. One of the Hulk’s main characteristics is the ability to dominate his rivals at any distance.
In combat, the Hulk’s anger is displayed in a Gamma gauge that, if reached its maximum level, causes the character to enter Gamma Rage, increasing his strength and speed.
Shuri, the ruler of the African nation of Wakanda, protects her country as the Black Panther, a position she has only recently inherited. In addition to being a warrior and queen, Shuri holds the position of Wakanda’s chief scientist. In combat, Black Panther stands out for his agility and great reach thanks to the Bashenga, a legendary spear that symbolizes the union of the tribes of Wakanda. This character can move quickly in various directions thanks to Bast’s Blessing, an ability that consumes energy but can be canceled with normal attacks and abilities, offering flexibility when executing combos.
With the addition of Hulk and Black Panther, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls adds 14 playable characters, but its initial lineup will be 20, so there are still six to be revealed. The fighting title will be present at the Combo Breaker 2026 that will be held on May 22 in Chicago and at the Hong Kong Comic Con 2026 that will take place on May 22, two events in which new contenders will possibly be discovered. Those attending both events will be able to try a build of the fighting game with 13 playable characters and five scenarios.
