Ecco the Dolphin: Complete announced, a collection that includes remastered classic games and a new installment

On May 5, 2025, Edward Ettore «Ed» Annunziata, creator of the Ecco the Dolphin saga, said that he was working on a remaster of the first installments of the saga and on a new game. Finally, new details about the initiative have been discovered with a formal announcement, but those interested must be patient since the news that has emerged is scarce and is not accompanied by any type of graphic material.

Development team A&R Atelier has officially announced Ecco the Dolphin: Complete, a collection that includes the remastered versions of Ecco the Dolphin (1992) and Ecco: The Tides of Time (1994), as well as a new title. This new installment in the Ecco saga is described as «an all-new contemporary game created for the modern era.» “This is the definitive, complete Ecco the Dolphin experience, created by the same people who brought the originals to life,” A&R Atelier says of Ecco the Dolphin: Complete. «A remastering done as it should be.»

Ecco the Dolphin: Complete will include all versions of Ecco the Dolphin and Ecco: The Tides of Time, which will link to the new installment through the story. Titles will have support for achievements, speedrun and leaderboards, as well as missions that will span both the original games and the new installment, thus creating challenges that intertwine throughout the Ecco universe. It will also be possible to create custom routes using a combination of levels that can be shared with the community.
