At the Xbox Developer Direct '26 there are three confirmed guests: Fable and Forza Horizon 6 from Xbox Game Studios and Beast of Reincarnation, the name behind the action RPG from Game Freak, the studio responsible for Pokémon. This trio of titles does not yet have a date, but when they are available they will be part of the Game Pass catalog. The event will include more games than those mentioned and it is very possible that everyone, regardless of whether they are first o third partyhave the Game Pass logo to indicate their launch on this service.
The 2025 Developer Direct was notable for setting a date for highly anticipated games, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, announcing the development and date of Ninja Gaiden 4, and the surprise release of Ninja Gaiden II Black. It remains to be seen if this year we will have a shadow drop.
The launch of Fable in 2026 will mark the return of a historic franchise for Xbox. This year the console celebrates its 25th anniversary and this will not be the only saga that will return to action. Halo will accompany her with the remake Halo: Campaign Evolved, Gears of War: E-Day, which in principle will not appear in the Developer Direct, and we will see if there are any more surprises. Regarding Forza Horizon 6, the only thing we know is that its festival is moving to Japan, so the event will serve to see the first gameplay and take a look at the changes of season, which is presented as one of the characteristics of this installment.
Finally we have Beast of Reincarnation, the new Game Freak game that we saw last year at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. It is an action RPG set in a post-apocalyptic Japan that has been consumed and occupied by monstrous creatures. As Emma, a cursed outcast, and Koo, her faithful canine companion, players must bring hope to humanity. This is a very different proposal from Pokémon, the franchise for which everyone knows Game Freak.
