To understand what has happened before the trailer, it is enough to know that Kliff, the protagonist and leader of the Free Gray Company, has been with his fellow victim of an ambush by the Drunken Black Bears. Kliff and his comrades have dispersed and now our hero is looking for them in Calphad, one of the regions that form the Pywel continent. Calphad lives a violent rebellion led by Cassius Morten, a subordinate from Stefan Lanford, the lord of Calphad, and now a Kliff ally in his fight against the drunken black Bears.
How could it be otherwise, Kliff joins the battle to end up fighting Cassius Morten.
The trailer (and the demo to which it belongs) are aimed at showing that the Pywel continent is dynamic and changes with the battles, and that the missions that Kliff will undertake will lead him to fight in different ways. Our protagonist has at his disposal an arsenal of traditional weapons and has the axiom Brachet, an object that allows him to enhance his attacks with elements, including fire and ice. Each of them has a different effect on the enemies, opens the door to combos and adds a strategic component. In addition, Kliff can ask its allies to attack a specific area.
Another features shown by the trailer are the methods that KLIFF has to move through the landscapes. In addition to calling a horse to ride, players will be able to resort to the Crow's Wing, a skill that allows planning in the air.
