Nintendo has revealed the lineup of Virtual Boy games that will be available starting February 17, the date on which this platform will become part of Nintendo Classics for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. To access these titles you must have a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack and purchase a special accessory. Likewise, Nintendo has announced that throughout this year, in addition to additional titles, it will launch an option to change the color of the screen when playing Virtual Boy.

The Virtual Boy games that will be part of the Nintendo Classics catalog from day one are:

  • 3-D Tetris: a three-dimensional puzzle game that was only released in the United States.
  • Galactic Pinball – A pinball game with four different months. One of those responsible was Gunpei Yokoi, creator of Virtual Boy.
  • Golf: Rare is the Nintendo console or device that doesn't have a golf game.
  • The Mansion of Innsmouth: Originally known as Innsmouth no Yakata. It is a game in which you have to escape from a mansion full of monsters.
  • Red Alarm: un shoot ‘em up in a three-dimensional graphic environment whose depth can be adjusted.
  • Teleroboxer: a boxing game set in the future and starring robots.
  • Virtual Boy Wario Land: a platform in which Wario must find his way to the surface after falling into a cave full of treasures.

Throughout 2026, the Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics catalog will be expanded with the following titles:

  • D-Hopper (not previously published)
  • Mario Clash
  • Mario’s Tennis
  • Jack Bros.
  • Space Invaders Virtual Collection
  • Vertical Force
  • Virtual Bowling
  • V-Tetris

Anyone who wants to play Virtual Boy titles will need, in addition to a Switch and a subscription, a special accessory. There are two options to meet this last requirement: an accessory that recreates the appearance of the original Virtual Boy (without the controller) in exchange for 79.99 euros, or a cardboard accessory that fulfills the same function for 19.99 euros. Both accessories are sold in the Nintendo store and exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
