Baby Steps is a game starring Nate, a young man with no job or profit or anything to do in life until one day he discovers that he has the power to put one foot in front of the other. As more than one of you may have already suspected, we are faced with a walking simulator that will lead our protagonist to explore the world at his own pace. The title has fully simulated physics, a soundtrack of kick and snare rhythms and is the work of Gabe Cuzillo and Maxi Boch, responsible for Ape Out, and Bennett Foddy (QWOP).
The name Stick It to the Stickman has already appeared in the Devolver Delayed Showcase 2023 and that means it is the second time its release has been delayed. This roguelike is the new project from Free Lives (Terra Nil, Broforce, Genital Joustin and Anger Foot) and puts players in the shoes of a worker who seeks to advance in the business world as quickly as possible, that is, with violence. The hero must make his way through his co-workers, supervisors and bosses while learning techniques to become the company's top leader. Anything goes, from staplers to chainsaws to forklifts.
In third and last place we have Skate Story, another game that is delayed for the second time. At least in this case, developer Sam Eng has the excuse that he broke his arm skating while working on the title. Skate Story is a game starring a crystal character who wants to eat the Moon and to achieve this he signs a contract with the devil, which ends up taking him to the underworld. There you must complete missions and master tricks, keeping in mind that any fall will be fatal for the crystal character.
Finally, mention that during the Delayed Awards Volvy's Adventure DX appeared, a title that until now did not exist. In fact, we still don't know if it really is a game starring Volvy, Devolver Digital's mascot, nor if it has any relationship with Daniel Mullens, the creator of Inscryption who appeared during the gala.
