He has been developing more than six years, but after revealing his release date he has only made us wait two weeks. We talk about Hollow Knight: Silksong, the long -awaited title of Team Cherry that is finally available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC through Steam and GOG in exchange for 19.50 euros. In case of having Game Pass, you will find it in its catalog (where the first installment is also). For now there is no edition in physical format.

Hornet, the protector of the Hallownest ruins and a character who will know very well those who have played Hollow Knight, assume the role of the protagonist in Silksong. Selecting it to play this new role does not seem that it has been a difficult decision for Team Cherry, especially if we take into account that it is a very important character in the Lore of Hollow Knight and with which a relationship is established throughout the first installment. In addition, Hornet allows us to offer a much more agile and acrobatic fight than that of the gentleman, which unlike our new heroine was a vessel without their own will.

In Hollow Knight: Silksong, Hornet is captured and taken to Pharloom, the fallen kingdom of the bugs, a world governed by silk and song and unknown by our protagonist. To leave the caves, cities and moors of Pharloom, Hornet must display his set of movements to deal with more than 200 enemies, including beasts, hunters, monsters and gentlemen, and more than 40 bosses among which fallen kings are. Without a doubt the road will not be simple and death will be part of the process to improve.

For those who want more, once the solo campaign is completed, Silk Soul mode will be activated that will transform the game into «a unique and challenging experience.» Unless the Team Cherry says otherwise, this mode is expected to be similar to the Soul Soul of Hollow Knight. On the other hand, Silksong's soundtrack is in charge of the autoral composer Christopher Larkin, the same as the first installment. Although Larkin received several awards for his work, he has not participated in too many more games since then.

Today Hollow Knight is put on sale: Silksong, but Team Cherry is already working to expand it. We do not know how, but the Australian development team has commented that they have «a plan.» As the founders of the Ari Gibson and William Pellen studio have recognized, they have had a great time with Hollow Knight: Silksong, that the joy of launching the game is comparable to that of continuing to work on it.
