The demo of Anno 117: Pax Romana is available until September 16 in SteamEpic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect, and allows players to choose the initial province, Latium or Albion, to play for an hour with an automatic limit at level 2. The saved progress data cannot be transferred to the final version of the game, which will be put on sale in the three mentioned stores from November 13. In addition to PC, Anno 117: Pax Romana will be offered with versions for PS5 and Xbox Series in different editions, including the Gold that adds the first season pass for 89.99 euros.
PC players trying the demo of Anno 117: Pax Romana will be able to take a first look at all the characteristics presented by the title on this platform, including the benefits of Empire Engine developed by Ubisoft Mainz. This graphic engine promises resolution up to 4K, HDR and compatibility with panoramic screens, as well as functions such as a herb with dynamically generated textures in real time, mapping land displacement, lighting with lightning layout to project realistic shadows, global lighting, instantaneous simulation of crowds and a day-night cycle.
Ubisoft Mainz speaks of Anno 117: Pax Romana as the title with «the greatest simulation ever created in a construction game.» The study promises a game with a world «made to climb on a wide range of hardware», which reflects the minimum and recommended requirements to play at 1080p and 30 or 60 fps with a low, high or medium graphics configuration. Who wants to reach 1440p or 4K with high or very high graphics and up to 60 fps must have a more ambitious hardware. Ubisoft does not mention for now the use of climbing technologies or photograms generation such as DLSS or FSR.
