NC America has announced that Aion 2, the sequel to the Korean open-world action MMORPG, will be available for PC in the Europe, North America, South America and Japan regions at the end of the year. The title will be distributed in ten languages, including Spanish from Spain, English, German, French, Portuguese (from Brazil), Japanese, Korean, Russian and Chinese (simplified and traditional), through Steam and Purple, NCSoft's client.

Aion 2 transports players to the world of Atreia 200 years after the original game, when the fall of the Tower of Eternity has weakened the Daevas who, over time, have divided into two factions, Elyos and Asmodian, who fight to survive. The former enjoy prosperity and believe that they are Aion's chosen people, while the latter consider themselves stronger for having endured centuries of adversity. Players must choose sides as both factions make their way through a fragmented universe while facing off against the powerful new draconic faction Balaur.

The world of Aion 2 is 36 times larger than the original game. Adventurers will encounter PvE (Player vs. Environment) experiences, ranging from solo and four-player dungeons to eight-player raids that require mastering game mechanics, movement and teamwork, and PvP (Player vs. Player) activities, with 1v1 and 4v4 arena combat, server-based RvR (Realm vs. Kingdom) battles, and the faction-based Abyss of the original Aion.

Both the world of Atreia and the gameplay of Aion 2 are designed around flight and verticality, which are hallmarks of the game. Flying is a way to move, but also to fight and explore the world. In addition, the title debuts a dynamic combat system that combines precision, timing and positioning with the classic targeting system. On the other hand, the game has a character creation system with more than 200 customization options and numerous outfits.

The global version of Aion 2 has been developed specifically for PC and the team responsible for the project promises to create an experience adapted to players on this platform.

“Aion 2 has continually updated its content and services, listening closely to the community to improve the player experience,” says Seunguk Baek, general business manager at NC. «We want to bring that same level of dedication, attention to the community and quality of gameplay to players around the world.»
