Season 2 will begin on January 22 with Kim Jae Hoon, who will arrive accompanied by an update with balance adjustments for the roster of fighters and the combat system. SNK assures that the changes are based on the feedback of the community. «The goal is to make combat more strategic and competitive,» says the development team. The news and changes of the update will be known later, but SNK has already announced that the main game mechanics will remain intact.
The characters included in season 2 of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves are:
- Kim Jae Hoon (January 22): Debuted in Garou: Mark of the Wolves and has a fighting style very similar to that of his father (Kim Kaphwan).
- Nightmare Geese (February): a manifestation of Geese Howard, a character who according to canon is dead.
- Blue Mary (March): a fighter who began her career in Fatal Fury, but who we have also seen in The King of Fighters.
- Wolfgang Krauser (April): one of the antagonists of the Fatal Fury and King of Fighters saga.

Regarding the monthly delivery of the six characters, producer Shinya Tamaki commented in an interview with Wccftech that his desire is to «respond to the players' requests as soon as possible.» We must not forget that Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has been receiving a character every month since October 2025. Higashi in October, Chun-Li in November and Mr. Big in December. The producer says that from day one they worked to expand their development capacity and the result is that they have the resources to add one character a month. The idea is to maintain this pace for as long as possible.
