One of the news of the year came this week when Netflix announced the purchase of Warner Bros., including the film studios, the HBO Max service and development teams such as Rocksteady Studios (Batman: Arkham) and NetherRealm Studios (Mortal Kombat), in exchange for $82.7 billion. It will be at least a year before the operation can be closed and regulators have yet to say theirs. Continuing in the Internet section, we have a fine of 120 million euros for X for violating the Digital Services Law, while Meta is being investigated for the access of AI providers to WhatsApp.

In games we have talked about the launch of Destiny 2: Los Desertores, Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollow, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow, Routine, Blood: Refreshed Supply and Red Dead Redemption for the current generation. In addition, we have a summary with the news from the last PC Gaming Show where games like SOL Shogunate, Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War! and Carmageddon: Rogue Shift. Total War Medieval III is also on the way. On the other hand, we have learned that Saudi Arabia will control 93% of Electronic Arts after its purchase.

In technology we have the upcoming demise of Crucial, an SSD and RAM brand that Micron will abandon to improve supply to AI data centers. We have also seen the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, a double-hinged mobile phone that converts into a 10-inch tablet, while Meta has acquired the services of Alan Dye, responsible for Apple's interfaces.
