PUBG: Black Budget is on shooter First-person tactical extraction game where players step into the shoes of a veteran who is hired to carry out an operation on an island. The mission is to recover secret technology in an abandoned facility. The problem is that the island is trapped in a time loop and consumed by a supernatural phenomenon known as the Anomaly. Players must extract artifacts, survive, investigate and discover what is hidden behind this initiative. Between missions the personal base is expanded, equipment is made and the character's skills are improved.
The action of PUBG: Black Budget takes place in a 2.5 x 2.5 km open world with different biomes, points of interest and underground facilities. Game sessions last about 30 minutes and everything you manage to extract from the island is preserved, while dying means losing everything. Squads can be up to 3 players and 45 players participate in each game. During the game the combats are PvE and PvP, and as time progresses the anomaly reduces the playable area. Additionally, there are narrative elements run by three rival factions offering contracts, quests and rewards.
It is unknown what business model PUBG: Black Budget will have, but we know that the title features a complete character and equipment customization system, including appearance and clothing as well as weapon and equipment skins. PUBG: Battlegrounds moved to free-to-play a few years ago, while ARC Raiders, one of the games that PUBG: Black Budget will face, has found success with a retail price of 39.99 euros.
