Without making too much noise, Dispatch has been put on sale today, «an office comedy about superheroes where decisions matter», which, as its launch trailer indicates, is available for PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam in exchange for 28.99 euros. This title is the first work from AdHoc Studio, a team made up of staff from Telltale Games, Ubisoft and Night School Studio that has worked on The Walking Dead, Tales from the Borderlands, Minecraft: Story Mode and The Wolf Among Us.

The story of Dispatch stars Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha Man, a hero who was very popular until his mech suit was destroyed in a battle against his nemesis. Since then he has been doing office work at the Superhero Dispatch Network. Our hero remains hopeful of rebuilding his suit for a chance at revenge, but for now his responsibility lies in managing a group of reformed villains and avoiding office gossip.

Dispatch promises to offer a story where the player's decisions are included in the unfolding narrative. Everything will impact the narrative, from break room banter to life-or-death situations during missions. The player's decisions affect the relationships with the heroes, their loyalties, and the path Robert Robertson's own story takes. It must be taken into account that each hero has his quirks, flaws and problems that must be managed to keep the team together.

Dispatch characters are voiced by a cast that includes Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Laura Bailey (The Last of Us Part II), Erin Yvette (The Wolf Among Us), Jeffrey Wright (Westworld), Travis Willingham (The Legend of Vox Machina), Alanah Pearce (Cyberpunk 2077), Matthew Mercer (Critical Role), MoistCr1TiKaL, Jacksepticeye, Lance Cantstopolis, Joel Haver and Thot Squad. Those interested should keep in mind that this is a game with an episodic format. The first two episodes are now available and the remaining six will arrive in pairs over the next three weeks (November 29, November 5 and November 12).

«We created Dispatch so people could play, watch and talk together,» says Nick Herman, creative director and co-founder of AdHoc Studio. “Some of our favorite gaming moments come from comparing options with friends, and we hope this series sparks those same types of conversations.”
