Netease has announced the development of Blood Message, an action and adventure game for a player behind which we find 24 Entertainment, the Chinese study responsible for Naraka: BladePoint. The title has been presented with a generous five -minute trailer that only for its graphic bill by Unreal Engine 5 and proposal focused on the sure campaign that excites more than one. For now there is no release date or window, while the confirmed platforms are consoles (without specifying which) and PC.

Blood Message is described as a film for a player with a linear campaign that combines fighting with an oriental narrative. The title is set in the last years of the Tang dynasty (618 – 907) and has as its protagonists an anonymous messenger and their son, who are trapped in the crossfire during the Dunhuang uprising. It is unknown if this fact has a historical basis such as antibudist persecution during the Tang dynasty, an event that especially affected Dunhuang for being a cultural and religious center on the Silk route.

Be that as it may, father and son are determined to deliver an important message that will mark the future of their homeland, an objective that will give life to a «loyalty and survival odyssey» of more than 1,500 km that will end in Chang'an, the old capital of China that currently is called Xi'an. Throughout this trip the players will go through different environments, from deserts to the wild lands of Oriental and central Asia, as they survive both war and geography. The combat system promises to be visceral and realistic and offer a combination of mechanics of stealth and survival.

Blood Message's proposal is radically different from Naraka's: Bladepoint, a title free-to-play of combat and action for up to 60 players that usually sneak among Steam's most played. Change is also important for netease. After 20 years focusing on multiplayer experiences (and normally free-to-play), the Chinese giant dares with a game for a player focused on history that is backed by an AAA budget.
