Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced presented, a remake with improved mechanics and new content

After a thousand and one rumors and leaks, Ubisoft has finally announced Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, the name behind which the remake of one of the most celebrated installments of the Assassin’s Creed saga. The title has been presented along with a trailer with gameplay, details about the new features and a release date that places its arrival in stores on July 9 with a version for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC through Steam in exchange for 59.99 euros. The collector’s edition with figure included goes up to 199.99 euros.

He remake of Black Flag not only presents a visual renovation by the Anvil engine that we have already seen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, but also redesigns the combat to offer an experience focused on action, and renews the way of moving through the scenarios with more fluid and improved parkour movements, from free jumps to lateral and backward thrusts. There are also reactive movements with more precise control for assassinations, while the improved stealth system allows crouching to get closer to the target.

Regarding performance, Ubisoft promises 60 FPS options on consoles, while in the technological section it highlights the use of global illumination with ray tracing and graphic resources created from scratch to be compatible with physics-based rendering.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced also revamps the tracking and espionage missions. In the original game, being detected meant instant desynchronization. Now the action continues and the objectives are maintained, but the target reacts. The improvements also come to the Jackdaw, our protagonist’s brig, which has improvements, while the naval mechanics have been optimized and include new alternative firing modes for each weapon that give more power and flexibility. The crew will be reinforced with three new officers: Lucy Baldwin, the father and «Deceased» Smith. Each one has narrative missions that reveal their story. It will also be possible to bring a cat or a monkey on the Jackdaw.
