Borderlands 4 will receive its first story pack with a new Vault Hunter on March 26

Gearbox Software advances the post-launch content plan for Borderlands 4 with the announcement of Mad Ellie and the Chamber of the Damned, the name behind the first story pack that the game receives. shooter looter. This add-on, included in the Super Deluxe edition (99.99 euros) and in the Vault Hunter Pack (49.99 euros), will be available on March 26. It will also be possible to purchase it separately at a price not yet revealed.

This first story pack will take Borderlands 4 players to the frozen wastes of The Whispering Glacier. There they will meet and join forces with Ellie, the mechanic and daughter of Moxxi, on a mission to destroy an alien monolith and enter the Chamber of the Damned. During this adventure the Vault Hunters will come into contact with Mancubus Bloodtooth, a character that veterans of the franchise should already recognize. Along with Mancubus we have Pickle and Crazy Earl. The story of this plugin is independent and does not require prior knowledge.

The second big novelty of the expansion is the new Vault Hunter C4SH the Rogue, a CasinoBot that after dominating the casinos and battlefields of the solar system with statistical knowledge faces unpredictability. One of C4SH's unique abilities is Sleight of Hand, which allows you to draw cards from your random deck and cast them to unleash powerful spells. This playable character has three unique action skills to choose from and can enhance his abilities through three branching skill trees.

Whether with C4SH or another of the available Vault Hunters, players will be able to access The Whispering Glacier region to find new story missions, side quests, activities and collectibles. As you progress you will also unlock new areas, loot and puzzles, and discover a new World Boss mechanic. To access the content of this pack you must first complete the mission A Lot to Process in Fadefields. Additionally, its content is recommended for Vault Hunters level 13 or higher.

Along with this content, an update will be released that incorporates «the highly requested» shared progression between characters, so that new characters on the same account will be able to access map progression, SDU tokens, Hover Drives, cosmetic rewards and activity progression. There is currently no support for cross-progression, but work is continuing on this feature. Free content is also being developed, with Reward Bundles 3, 4, and 5 expected to be available throughout the second and third quarters. For its part, Story Pack 2 will arrive during the third quarter and will include another vault hunter and missions in a new area of ​​Kairos.
