The Epic Games Store's 2025 summary begins by highlighting that PC gamers' spending on games third-party grew by 57%, achieving a historical record of 400 million dollars. The digital store manages to reach this figure despite the fact that there are companies that process their own payments within the game and keep 100% of the revenue. Epic Games also highlights that the platform has logged 2.78 billion hours of gameplay in third-party titles, and 35% of those hours were in games whose development teams use their own payment solutions (such as Marvel Rivals or Grand Theft Auto V).
The total spending of PC players on the Epic Games Store in 2025 was $1.16 billion, 6% more than in 2024. The titles that have generated the most have been Fortnite, Wuthering Waves, Honkai Star Rail, Rocket League and Genshin Impact. They are all free-to-play.
The Epic Games Store closed the year with more than 317 million users on PC, but despite this it experienced a year-on-year decrease in the number of monthly and daily active players of 1 and 2%, respectively. The total number of hours played decreased by 14% compared to last year to reach 6,650 hours, but the hours of play dedicated to the titles third-party increased by 4%. This means that Epic Games' own games such as the Fortnite ecosystem, Fall Guys or Rocket League have lost steam.
Steve Allison, vice president and general director of Epic Games, tells EuroGamer that Fortnite is coming off one of its best years on PC and assures that it continues to be one of the most important games on the market. Despite this, he recognizes that the numbers are there and indicate that the battle royale has suffered a decrease in playing hours in 2025 compared to 2024.

Lovers of free things have been able to claim up to 100 games in 2025 without checking out. Epic Games adds that 662 million titles have been claimed, and that each player has obtained games worth $2,316. On the other hand and finally, Epic Games assures that the new version of the store client it is working on will offer better performance and expand the social experience with new functions, including a voice chat that can be used without having to play and virtual avatars.
