The fighters who will become part of the Tekken 8 roster with season 3 are:
- Kunimitsu (late spring): a historical one from the Tekken saga. She joined the Manji clan to hone her skills, but was expelled by Yoshimitsu when he discovered she was stealing from his people and decided to participate in the first King of Iron Fist Tournament. His last appearance was as an additional character in season 4 of Tekken 7.
- Bob (Summer): Robert «Bob» Richards, a character who likes fighting as much as eating. Despite his size, he is a master of martial arts with great physical power and surprising agility. It first appeared in Tekken 6, returned in Tekken 7, and will now be available in Tekken 8.
- Roger Jr. (winter): The Tekken saga features a family of kangaroos genetically altered by the Mishima Zaibatsu laboratories for military use. Roger Jr. is part of the second generation of these animals. He is the son of divorced parents. It first appeared in Tekken 5 and recurred in Tekken 6.
- Character and setting to be announced (winter): Bandai Namco has not offered any details, so we do not know if it is a character from the Tekken saga or a guest.
Tekken 8 Season Pass 3 will be available for purchase starting February 10, but Kunimitsu, the first female fighter, won't arrive until late spring. Whoever purchases the season pass will instantly get the Aurora Outfit Pack, which includes outfits that can be worn by all available characters as well as those that will arrive with the new season, and will have 120 hours of early access to additional fighters. In season 1 and season 2 it was 72 hours. Because the characters will be available on Thursday, it will be possible to play with them for an entire weekend.
On March 17, Tekken 8 players will receive an update with a series of balance adjustments along with a rank reset. This way the balance adjustments will arrive before the first fighter of the new season pass, which should allow the Bandai Namco development team to focus their efforts and have room for maneuver.
