Video games are increasingly transcending their own medium, as demonstrated by a couple of news items this week: Ryan Hurst will be Kratos in the God of War series and Sophie Turner has shown herself for the first time as Lara Croft. Hytale, Super Woden: Rally Edge and The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon do not have a series, but are already available, while Animal Crossing: New Horizons has received a content update and gained a (paid) version for Switch 2. For its part, Nexon has updated sales of ARC Raiders, which already totals 12.4 million copies.

On the release calendar, Masters of Albion, Peter Molyneux's new strategy and management game, has marked April 22, while Forza Horizon 6 seems to be available on May 19. New World also has a date, but of death. Its servers will close on January 31, 2027. On the other hand, the new owner of GOG has spoken about its intentions with the store, while Nintendo has assured that today it is not thinking about raising the price of Switch 2 as a result of the increase in the cost of RAM.

On the Internet, we have talked about the attack on Endesa and the leak of sensitive data of its clients, and commented on the words of the president of LaLiga, proud of having reduced piracy with the blocks. Now he claims to have something about VPNs. At the European level, Amazon has launched a sovereign cloud. It has also been in the news that Apple chose Gemini models to power Siri, as well as Meta's decision to lay off more than 1,000 Reality Labs employees and close Armature Studio, Sanzaru Games and Twisted Pixel.
