The first physical copies of 007 First Light have begun to circulate and some players have shared the opening scenes on social networks. Given this situation, IO Interactive has preferred to publish a trailer with the first 13 minutes of the campaign in good quality, and thus prevent curious people from seeing mediocre or poorly captured videos. The title is scheduled for release on May 27 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam.

Anyone who wants to start their spy adventure as James Bond (played by Patrick Gibson) with as few details as possible should not watch this gameplay of 13 minutes or continue reading this news. In this 007 First Light trailer we witness the initial mission of a young Bond who is part of a rescue operation. Everything changes when the air transport in which his group is traveling is shot down and the only survivor seems to be our protagonist, who finds himself alone on a remote island off the coast of Iceland.

Bond maintains communication with his superiors, but finds himself completely isolated, surrounded by enemies and also suffering from hypothermia. This first mission acts as a tutorial to learn the movement and stealth systems and controls. In the footage there is not a single hand-to-hand fight or confrontation with weapons. Throughout the first minutes of 007 First Light, players complete a tutorial focused on movement mechanics (crouch, run, cover, climb…) and how to hide using environmental elements. Additionally, we discover that James Bond speaks Montenegrin.

Our agent’s mission is to survive hypothermia and locate a facility that appears to be behind the mountain. This first James Bond operation in Iceland is what draws the attention of the MI6 007 program, which ends up recruiting him. The introductory mission is focused on stealth, at least the part that the trailer shows us, but players can also expect large doses of action and infiltration sections in which James Bond will use all kinds of gadgets. In September of last year we were able to see 35 minutes of gameplay with much more variety.

007 First Light also has a version on the way for Nintendo Switch 2 that will arrive later this year. The release date for this version will be announced later.
