Shigeru Miyamoto, designer and producer of countless Nintendo games, once again acts as a guide. Four years ago he showed us the Super Nintendo World theme park located in Universal Studios Japan, and now he returns to the same site to present the new area dedicated to Donkey Kong Country that will open its doors on December 11. It seems that Miyamoto has found a new profession as a guide, since he was also responsible for accompanying us through the Nintendo Museum.

To get to the area dedicated to Donkey Kong Country you have to go through a tunnel that changes the blocks for rocks, and at the end of which we find a jungle area where the music quickly takes effect. At first glance we see the facilities that quickly attract attention, such as the Donkey Kong tree house and the golden temple. As in the original areas, in this area players will find letter panels that can be scanned using the park's NFC wristband. There are now Donkey Kong-themed wristbands and registrations are stored in the park's official app.

The main attraction of this new part of Super Nintendo World is found in the golden temple that can be seen from the entrance. It is a roller coaster with cars like those that can be seen in multiple Donkey Kong games, but whose route is not shown in the video to keep the secret from future visitors. Inside the golden temple we find references to the Donkey Kong saga games, while an animatronic of Cranky Kong accompanied by the parrot Squawks encourages adventurers to board the wagons to scare away the Tiki Tak tribe from the golden temple and protect the golden banana. .

Visitors looking for a quieter attraction can put their bongo-playing skills to work with a three-player rhythm game that takes us back to titles like Donkey Konga. Finally, in the Donkey Kong Country area there is no shortage of themed drinks and dishes, as well as shops to buy all kinds of items from the saga.
