Frogwares presented The Sinking City Remastered at the end of March and just over a month later launches the game by surprise, which is available today for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC through Steam. The title is offered as a free update for all those who have The Sinking City on the aforementioned platforms. For the rest there will be 49.99 euros in console or 39.99 euros in Steam, but on the occasion of the launch of the Remaster the game has a 50 % reduction in digital stores.

The sinking City Remastered is a graphically improved version of the game released in 2019. The title adopts the Unreal Engine 5 engine to present a visual aspect of greater invoice and include functions such as global lumen lighting, lightning layout, textures in 4K, more detailed environments and support for HDR as well as climbing technologies by the NVIDA DLSS and AMD FSR Photograms per second. In addition, there is a photo mode and improvements in controls, combat, game balance and tutorials.

«We have great plans for The Sinking City, starting with the sequel and beyond,» says Sergiy Oganesyan, director of Publication of Frogwares. The Ukrainian study remembers the problems they had a while ago with intellectual property, and puts in value to live a positive moment like this and that they can freely decide the future of the saga. Frogwares adds that offering Remaster for free through an update for those who already have the original The Sinking City is a way to «return their favor for having supported us in good and bad times during all this time»

The Sinking City is an open world adventure and research inspired by the HP Lovecraft universe, a work that has reached the games in recent years because their rights have become public domain. In this title, players are put in the skin of a private researcher who must find out what has possessed Oakmont, a semi -submersed city that together with its inhabitants has fallen in the supernatural forces.
