Black Myth: Wukong has not only won the game of the year award, but has also won in two other categories, Outstanding game with a good plot and Best difficult game, a notable achievement if we take into account that there are 11 categories and that out winner in three is very unusual. Recognized titles such as Baldur's Gate III (2023), Red Dead Redemption II (2019) or Cuphead (2017) won in two categories in their respective year. In 2024, Black Myth: Wukong also managed to sell 18 million units and register 2.4 million simultaneous users on Steam, the second highest number in the history of the platform.
Of the rest of the categories, it is notable that Red Dead Redemption, a title released 14 years ago but which arrived on Steam in 2024, took the award for Best Soundtrack, while Liar's Bar and its commitment to the online liar's game has won the award for Most Innovative Gameplay. Additionally, God of War Ragnarok has beaten Hades II and Balatro in the Best Steam Deck Game category.
